More than 8.000 participants are expected again in 2026 for the four races of the MarathonMan series!

This year, the starting shot will be in the Czech low mountain range. At the end of May, the King of the Bohemian Forest in Klatovy will lure more than 2,000 bikers to the dreamlike landscape in the Sumava National Park for the 33rd time. The tour then continues to the Malevil Cup and its popular routes through the Lusatian and Zittau Mountains. Just eight days later, the Franken Bike Marathon in Trieb will celebrate its MME premiere and offer all participants the finest biking enjoyment in the Upper Main region.

The 29th edition of the Salzkammergut Trophy in Austria will follow on July 18th, which will take place in the fantastic mountain world of the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt-Dachstein-Salzkammergut. On the first weekend in August, the oldest mountain bike marathon in Germany, the Erzgebirgs Bike Marathon, takes place in Seiffen and will be this years MME-Final host.

Caution! The selected events are binding, it is not possible to register for another race! Late entries for the series ranking will be accepted between May 16, 2026 and July 20, 2026 by email to info@marathon-man.eu. In the case of late registration, the entry fee must be paid directly to the respective organizer!

All bikers who register by May 15 will receive the MarathonMan T-shirt made of organic cotton.

All participants who finish at least 3 marathons will be included in the result list receiving a certificate available for download at the end of the season. However, the title "MarathonMan 2026" as well as the Dogtag medal will be only awarded to those participants who have completed more than 300 kilometers. The medal will be sent by post by end of October.
 
 

The formula for the MarathonMan-points is the following:

"Day’s record x maximum points : one owns timing"

The timing of the winner in seconds equates the maximum points of the individual course length. The runner-ups receive their scores according to the winner’s timing.

Example: 
timing of the winner = 03:28:47 = 12.527 seconds = 10.000 points 
timing of a MME participant = 04:01:23 = 14.483 seconds = 8.649 points

At the finals the three best results will be added. Those who tackle four or five races may delete one or two results. Each participant may choose any course at every marathon. On the long distances there are more points to collect!

The three fastest of each category will be awarded with very nice trophies.
